You can use this Internet Picture Dictionary as a reference
tool when practicing your German. Search for the word of your choice in two
different ways. You can search based on the first letter of the word or find
it through a list of specified topics. Other activities on the web site will
give you practice in learning and speaking German. These activities involve
the use of flashcards, fill-in-the-blank activities, word scrambles, and a
couple of other fun games.

Translation Games
These interactive translation games are a great way for you to
practice German language. You can choose between German-English games where
you are given words in German and have to find the English equivalent or
English-German, which is the exact opposite. Each section has several games
for you to choose from. These include games involving basic vocabulary;
colors, days, and months; numbers; food and drink; and fruits and vegetables.
The computer will score your answers and then provide you with the correct
answer to any questions you may have missed.

Explorers : German Dictionary
The Little Explorers English-German picture dictionary is a
handy tool for young students who are learning how to speak this language. By
clicking on the different letters in the alphabet index you can go to pages of
the dictionary featuring words starting with the letter of your choice. The
pictures that go along with each word make them fun and easy to learn. Many
also have coloring pages that you can print, label in German, and then color.

web site may be a good tool for you to use. This web site features instruction
in four different languages: French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Once you
have chosen the language you want to explore, use the menu to specify what it

places and environments, social phrases, and much more.

Reading - For students & teachers of English as a second language
Although this site is designed for English as a Second Language and English as
a Foreign Language teachers, there are all sorts of resources here that would
be of use to ESL and EFL students, as well. Because the organizers believe
that the best way for ESL and EFL students to improve their reading is to
practice, this site provides reading materials at all levels that are graded
for vocabulary, grammar and readability. There are also exercises that help to
improve reading comprehension and help to build vocabulary.

- Word Find Puzzles for ESL Students
English as a Second Language students looking for a fun way to test their
knowledge of vocabulary words with this series of interactive word puzzles.
Colors, minerals, months, vegetables, car parts, fruits, musical instruments
and sports are just a few of the puzzle categories. There are also puzzles
that work on intransitive verbs, non-countable nouns and words that act as
nouns and verbs. Almost all of the word search puzzles on this page need web
browsers that support java, but there are a few that you can print out.

Second Language students. You can choose from Brainteasers, like word games
